Heal the world with stories podcasts
Hello everybody!
Here we present you with some podscasts we have recorded for our storytelling e-Project. We have used SoundCloud. Our aim with these recordings is to foster communicative and listening skills while at the same time we show different aspects about storytelling.
This tool is very useful to record all the sounds you want. It is very easy to manage and you can download it into your mobile phone and record the sounds directly from your telephone and upload them into the soundcloud app. In this way you can share your recordings with the rest of the world and communicate using this means.
Here you can hear our first podcasts:
A new step in podcasts.
First of all, we are very pleased to have a new account at the soundclound channel so as to share the soundtracks with our voices. As our topic is about storytelling, we decided to do the podcast as a radio story channel.
We recorded three tracks for introducing ourselves and our Project. The three ones included whowe are, what we are doing and what we are going to do. And later, the most important and interesting part of our new podcast channel is the minibook reading.
As we are students of a Master's Degree, we did a course which we had to make a minibook inspired by ¨the very hungry caterpiller¨. As a result, the three of us have three different stories so that we chose two of them, the naughty moon and the penguin who felt cold a lot. We think both of the stories fit our Project perfectly so we recorded it ourselves with emotions. We are sure that children will like it very much.
This is the QR code of our e-Project sound cloud page! Scan it with your mobile phone and you can listen to our podcast.
We are going to update our podcast QR code here so you can listen to them directly in a most easy way!

About Platero and I - El Greco. Thanks to @capileiratic and his students
As you might all know by now, a team of three of my students at URJC are working on the #quenipintado e-Project at the Master's Degree they are doing until the end of April. I'm sure you have already visited their ongoing Wix, but just in case, there you are, once again: Enjoy Learning: Art and Music.
As part of their e-project activities, they are connecting with Primary CLIL students nationwide through online questions, quizzes and so forth.
The first set of questions consists of an animated avatar that asks two very simple questions that any Primary CLIL can answer, with the aim of gathering information about kids' prior knowledge regarding El Greco and Platero. Just click on the image below and meet the avatar:

The first bunch of students to come forward and answer the first set come from Capileira, Granada. They have compiled a whole Pinterest board with their animated answers, also in the format of avatars.
Don't miss the chance to follow them and listen to their wonderful answers.
Thanks ever so much, @capileiratic, for your students' contribution to this e-project, and your hard work! Congrats, it's awesome, we really appreaciate it.

Book ME-Library Podcast
At Book ME-Library, we are big fans of podcasts. We wanted our podcasts to have a formal but not serious tone. We chose SoundCloud because we had heard of it before and it was the easiest to use. Also, there was an App that we downloaded and it worked perfectly. We had a few preliminary tests and the sound quality was excellent.
After recording the audio, we put it into Garage Band. I chose Garage Band because I am relatively new to Apple products and I wanted to learn how to use that tool. Also, Garage Band has a smooth operating system. When I needed help, I just watched a ‘how-to’ video on youtube.
We looked for music on the website Jamendo. Jamendo has great CC content and a bunch of interesting music that is free to use. Luckily for us, we listened to about 3 tracks until we found “Whiskey Lullaby.” It has been described as “swanky” and sounds like it should be on a podcast. Then, I edited the song to fade out after the intro and come back in for a minute at the end. I think the group was pleased at how this turned out in the end. Along with the movie trailer, I think our podcast was a good first try. We are looking forward to improving and recording the next one.

Open Voices movie trailer
We present our e-project goals using different short pieces of videos.
First, we aim to give the idea of the importance of discussions between students to develop critical thinking. Later on, we focus on the importance of doing researches in our project. Then, newspapers are used to promote reading habits and to make students keen on reading news and knowing what happens around them. To sum up, we introduce ourselves as members of the Open Voice group giving a clear message with our e-project motto: Open Voices, Building up critical minds.
To record the videos we have used a digital camera. To put them together in the movie trailer we have used an Open Source tool: Kdenlive. It is available on the web for free and it is very easy to use. It has many options to create videos and add different transitions and effects. Furthermore, some tutorials are provided by youtube. It is very reachable for students as different options can be seen just at a glance.
Click on the Open Voices blog to deepen in the topic.

Trailer of the e-Project: "Art and Music in Jars"
Hi everyone!
We are Alberto, Patricia, Jorge, Eva and Andrea and here we present you the trailer we have created in order to promote our e-project, making it as interesting as possible for you.
In our trailer you can see different sentences and images related with Art and Music. With this trailer we try to show you briefly diverse art and music expressions.
At the beginning of the trailer you will see images of some ICT tools, different artistic expresions and some tutorials that we will use in order to teach you how to improve your artistic skills.
We have used the tool iMovie (iOS) to make the trailer because we think that it is handy, mobile and easy to use by all learners and teachers. Furthermore, it is very dinamic, real and it seems to be a real trailer of a movie! The best way to spread our ideas.

Heal the world with stories trailer
Hello everyone!
We are Alvaro, Laura and Maria and we want to present the trailer we have created for our e-Project "Heal the world with stories". The aim of this trailer is to engage people to visit our blog. For that reason, we have created a trailer in which we present a brief introduction of what you would find in this site.
The video consists of asking some general questions and answering them with videos and images of what they would be able to find in our blog. We have used some of the material we have design during the course and also, some of our classmates have participated answering some of these questions for us.
First of all, we designed a storyboard to organise our ideas before recording it. The storyboard was divided into 10 scenes, describing the dialogue and the sequence that we are going to follow. Designing a storyboard is a very useful task with which you can obtain better results because it is a guide to follow while recording the video.
After recording the different scenes, we used Adobe Photoshop Premiere CS6 to create a single video using all the pieces. Also, we have taken some pictures about our classmates introduction in three steps. We have choosen this one because it offers you a wide range of resources, tools and templates to create your video according to your purposes. At the end, we have included our logo. During the whole video, it is played the same soundtrack, called Gassenhauer, by Carl Orff.
Afterwards, we uploaded the video to YouTube, under the Creative Commons license, in order to share it with the rest of the world.
Have a look at it, we hope you enjoy it!

Arts and music around the world trailer
Hello everybody!
We are team 4, and we want to show you the trailer of our project. After a lot of work, and some outtakes... the result is just great, isn't it?
After recording ourselves explaining some essential aspects of the project, we have edited our video using Camtasia Studio. It is a fantastic tool that gives you the chance to create professional videos without having to be a video professional.
You can use different visual effects, animated backgrounds, add the music you prefer, and many more things! We totally recommend you to use this tool when editing a video!

The Breaking Movie Trailer!
Hi everybody!
We are "the breakers of the Science", and today we are very pleased to introduce you our first movie trailer. It has been made by Magisto.
The movie trailer is about an experiment called " Fizzy Balloon" which a chemical reaction takes place. The materials you need to carry out it are: baking soda, vinegar, a balloon and a medium-sized bottle.
We'd rather show an experiment through the Movie Trailer because it promotes the curiosity of our target audience: children who love Science.
Lesson objective:
The children will understand that some things in our world work in a predictable way. They will learn that mixing baking soda and vinegar will always have the same result.
In the experiment your children will observe the chemical reaction of baking soda and vinegar and predict an outcome.
Don't forget to leave us a message in our fantastic blog

Magisto is a fun and easy way to share your experiences through video. Magisto’s Web, iPhone and Android apps enable users to automatically edit videos and share them with friends and family.
Using Magisto requires no previous experience of knowledge of video editing - users simply record and upload videos, select a theme, background music and give their movie a title, and Magisto will turn the videos into beautiful edited movies, complete with music and effects, in minutes.

- Why do you think there is a chemical reaction?
- Why is the balloon inflated?
- What is it inside the balloon?
- Can you see bubbles in the bottle when you mix vinegar & baking soda?
- How do you think you can make more bubbles?
Science is a way of knowing and thinking about the natural and physical world. Observing, measuring, inferring, classifying, predicting and communicating are some of the skills fundamental to science. Not only are they integral to science investigations, solving problems, and making decisions, they contribute to science as a body of knowledge and a 'way of knowing.' Furthermore, the children are involved in the inquiry. Inquiry is a circular process: the conclusions can take the learner from the questions we made lead to more questions, involving learners in the process of learning. This is our main objective!

A Blogging Weekend
As I announced on 10 March 2014, last weekend, March 14-16, I had the honour to share an online blogging weekend with other blogger teachers worldwide.
During nearly 12 hours non-stop, there was an against-the-clock marathon of 32 online classes attended by over 1700 e-learners, an amazing unforgettable experience I had the honour to be invited to as a presenter, but also an experience I had the honour to attend to, which gave me the incredible chance to learn with Sylvia Guinan, Shelly Sanchez Terrell, Dr. Nellie Deutsch and many others, who were ever so enthusiastic about connecting with teachers and students around the world.
The course, the weekend, the classes, tutorials and assignments became true inspiration to keep on blogging and talk more and more students into blogging themselves, as well as connecting with teachers and learners.
Connecting: that was one of the key words all over the weekend and the most important issue in my humble viewpoint. Open connections, networked teachers, students, classrooms, that is the way to collaborative innovate when one teaches others and learns with and from others.
This kind of inniative opens a wide door to find answers for questions that some teachers are still asking themselves: 'Why blog?, Creativity in the classroom?, Encouraging collaboration through blogging?, Breaking down classroom walls?, Does Blogging mean Connect with students?, Help students shine?'
If you are one of those teachers that wonders why and how, do not miss the online weekend recordings, because I'm sure you are bound to find real answers there.
And stay tuned for the upcoming Fall Blog Festival in September!

Book ME-Library Trailer
Hello everyone,
We wanted to reflect on the trailer we created this week. It was actually very challenging. We decided to use the Apple application iMovies. We used a preset template, finding one in which all 4 of us could participate in. We recorded ourselves in several short clips around the computer lab. Using José Luis´ laptop, we put together this engaging trailer.
We wanted explosions, attention grabbing music, graphics and an interesting medium to get students´ attention. We couldn´t find the explosions, but we did manage everything else. Even though the trailer is only 56 seconds long, behind those 56 seconds, there were several hours of work, tweaking, cropping and discussion. I hope that everyone enjoys it and, of course, retweet it and comment on it. Thank you for your time!

Our latest movie trailer!
Hello everybody!
We are posting today to share with all of you a new outcome which we have been working on. So, we want to present our trailer of our e-project to you.
We have designed this trailer with the goal of letting people, especially children, know and feel the mixture of ICT and traditional stories so that they can realize how good the result can be.
From the very beginning, we wanted to combine ICT and reading and writing to take as much advantage as we can of all of these tools and that’s one of the main reasons why we have created this trailer. We are sure and we want to show with the following projects that it is possible to mix ICT and reading and writing; and, not only that, we also want to show how funny learning can be through those tools that everybody likes and uses.
We are convinced that everybody will like this trailer a lot because it gives the chance of learning unconsienciously and without noticing anything. Children will only think about it like a game to have fun and they won’t realize that they are learning lots of things related to two of those skills which are very important in any language.
The idea of the trailer is to let children feel the mixture of ICT and traditional stories will be interesting.
We have designed this trailer with the goal of letting people, especially children, know and feel the mixture of ICT and traditional stories so that they can realize how good the result can be.
The two cut-video-story in the "cinema" represent the traditional story and a new recreated one, that is, the classic "three little pigs" and a new "little riding hood".
Everything is done through the tool: effects, soundtrack combination, photos and video combination.. The only "record" thing is that we took a photo of us three with thumbs up.
We chose the tool Powerdirector to make the video, this tool is actually a bit profesional but we want to make the trailer look good so we decided to use it.The two videos inside our trailer downloaded from Vimeo are with Creative Commons, all the pictures as well.
We hope that the scenary of cinema will make children feel cool and like it.

Music The Art and Touch Others' Hearts
Hello everyone! Team 6 (Silvia, Leire & Eva) is back, we want to show you our movie trailer. If you watched what was behind our logo, probably this video will be familiar to you.
This movie has been designed in order to give an augmented reality to our logo. The process of creating the movie trailer was:
First of all, we recorded a video with a regular camera in which we showed the audience different papers with the sentence of our logo.
Later on, we took some pictures of these papers and also of ourselves.
Finally, we created a video with Magisto. Once the video was created, we uploaded it to youtube through a channel that we had to create previously. It is very easy to do, you only need a gmail account and you will be able to upload your own video.
Magisto is a fun and easy way to automatically edit videos and photos and share them with your friends and family. It will turn your videos and photos into beautiful edited movies, complete them with music and effects, in minutes.
The thing that we most liked about Magisto was that it gives you the opportunity to choose among different templates and music backgrounds. We also think that this feature is what students will like most when using this tool. However, one of the problems that we faced with this tool was that after several trials and checks in the net we couldn´t find a way to put the pictures in the order we wanted.
To sum up, we as teachers think that the use of video editors is a good resource to incorporate to our classroom. Specifically, Magisto is a colourful, attractive and useful tool which students can easily work with and learn from it.

Storytelling e-project, by Alvaro, Laura and Maria
Hi everyone!
We are Alvaro, Laura and Maria, three students of a Master´s degree at the University Rey Juan Carlos of Madrid and we are developing an e-project related to storytelling.
This e-project is designed for parents, teachers and children in order to provide them with useful stories and tools, so they can create their own stories and share it with the world. We believe that telling stories is a better way to learn contents, morals or values in a more unconscious and interesting way; rather than memorising vocabulary.
In order to develop this e-project we have created a blog using blogger. Our blog's name is Heal the world with stories, as everyone has a story to tell. People can share their stories with the rest of the world, learn more about different topics and cultures, write their own stories and find out about new resources.
If you'd like to become a good storyteller do not forget to visit our blog.
Hope you enjoy!

Art and Music in jars
Hello everybody! We are Patricia, Alberto, Eva, Andrea and Jorge.
We have decided to link our projects "Toolkits in jars" and "Make your heart beat", because we think that the combination of them can be very productive due to the fact that we can share art and music by making tutorials (which is the main goal of the Toolkits in Jars Project).
We have decided to link our projects "Toolkits in jars" and "Make your heart beat", because we think that the combination of them can be very productive due to the fact that we can share art and music by making tutorials (which is the main goal of the Toolkits in Jars Project).
Our project is called "Art and Music in jars".The main goal of our Project is to approach learners to Culture and Art through making different tutorials, our Project will be focus on music and different artistic expressions.
We have chosen this project because we think that by using Music and Art we can express our feelings, emotions and ideas. That is why we want to teach our students the different ways of learning and understanding the music and the art depending on the country you belong to or your culture and traditions. In order to reach that, we will deal with different art and music expressions around the world.
In order to show the different resources we are going to provide and how our project is progressing, we have created the following blog.
We have chosen Blogger because it is easy to use, and it is a good way to show all our work and keep in contact with other people who are interested in our project.
We would like you to visit our blog, and feel free to comment on our posts and make any suggestion that can help us to improve it!

Blogmaniacos' answers for Book ME-Library
A few weeks ago, the team of future Primary teachers from the Master's Degree at URJC for The Use of ICT and Digital Resources for Primary Bilingual Education, in Madrid, working on an educational e-project to set up a mobile library, Book ME-Library, sent Blogmaniacos, a bunch of Primary kids from Jacarilla, Alicante, a videoclip to learn about their mobile reading interests, which we posted at A Mobile Library for @Blogmaniacos and that we are displaying below.
Now, Blogmaniacos are starting to give them feedback and are answering the first two proposed questions by José Luis and Billy.
)
Thanks ever so much for this valuable feedback, which Book ME-Library will surely thank warmly too!

A TRIP TO THE ICT ISLAND
A TRIP TO THE ICT ISLAND
By Pablo A, Nuria G and Tszying L
All of us heard many times of ICTs and its importance in education, however, we never thought of all the possibilities that we can find in the internet which can be applied in the classroom. In fact we were scared by the time that we had to do a digital project because it was the first time we were involved in such a complex and demanding work.
Nevertheless, though we have cultural and personal differences, we have something in common. We love teaching, we all love stories and we are always willing to have new experience and keep learning. So we embarked into this adventure to the ICT island where we would find all kind of resources we would need to carry out this challenging e-project.
To start with, we brainstormed and decided to find out any kind of possible useful resources such as images, sounds, videos and so on. Then, we had to move into the most challenging step of the project: Creating a mindmap. It was a challenging task because in order to design it we needed to agree to the objectives, the stories we would like to work on and the assessment criteria we were going to follow. After a long time discussing, we finally came up with a mindmap with all the key ideas we collected that would support it.
Later on, we created a common webmix with a bunch of online resources we had found in order to organize the links we were going to use henceforth. Once we had organized all the materials, we opened a blog where we gave more information about ourselves and some useful links that our readers might use for their own projects. Our blog also held a creative common license because we considered that any educational material must be free and not being under commercial purposes for others.
Hence, we really hope all our readers enjoy this adventure as much as we are doing and to start their own projects to improve their lessons and encourage their students to use ICTs in a useful and responsible way.
We will keep posting more resources and materials and you will see our final project as soon as possible. Please be patient, because the best adventure usually takes a long way.

Open Voices - The Journalists' Team
Alba, Alejandra, Bea and Jose. We are the journalists' team! And we've created a project called "Open Voices", because we want everybody to feel free to give opinions, tell things, share thoughts... We want to develop a complete project which includes a tv channel with news, interviews, reports, and even some space to debate and research. What's more, we're thinking about designing a newspaper also with news, interviews and even humor strips. We also want to deliver a specific social network to present our project, share our ideas and interesting links with you and we're looking forward to your feedback. All our work is going to be shown in our blog, speakyourvoiceup.blogspot.com.es, where you'll also find videos, presentations and a lot of interesting resources. We hope you like it! "Blog you"! ;)

Art and Music Around the World
Hello everybody! We are Concha, Elena, Pablo and Cristina.
Our project is called "Art and music around the world". Its main objective is to approach students to different cultures in the world, focusing on art and music.
We have chosen this project because we think that one of the most important ways of expressing our feelings and ideas is through music and art. Besides, we want to show pupils that there are different ways of understanding music and art, depending on the country in question, and this is why we have decided to work on art and music around the world.
Our project will be developed during five days. Each day we will focus on one of the countries we have chosen:
- Brazil
- Italy
- China
- Egypt
- New Zealand.
On this way, pupils will dive into different cultures, learning about music and art in those countries.
In order to show the different resources we are using, and how our project is progressing we have created the following blog: http://artsandmusicaroundtheworld.blogspot.com.es/
We have chosen blogger because it is easy to use, and it is a good way to show all our work, and keep in contact with other people who are interested in our project.

Book ME-Library
Here is our e-project showcase.
So, you might be wondering, "Why did we choose a blog instead of a Tumblr or a Wiki?" Excellent question! First, we chose a blog because we thought it would be the best way to present our e-library. For our library, we need to showcase all sorts of web resources, like podcasts, webmixes, PLEs, etc. We deemed that the best resource to compile and share everything was a blog. We chose blogger because it was the most versatile, easy to navigate, readily accessible, and visually stimulating. Our aim is to foster and encourage primary students to read in English. We are going to do this through compiling a Mobile Electronic Library (hence, our title - Book ME-Library). The library will include various books read by us with a multitude of resources to promote enthusiastic reading in students. Remember to follow us on social media, comment on our blog, and retweet us.
Enjoy learning: Music and Art
We are group six: Eva, Silvia and Leire. We have chosen to showcase the e-project in a wix, because it is a very interesting tool where we can organize all the information about our e-project. It is something different from blog and it was what we most liked about it, try different and new things.
The name of our wix is Enjoy learning: Art and Music. We have chosen this tittle because it is related to our project, which will be about art and music but giving it a funny side.
In the wix we have different spaces such as information about our e-project, resources (where you can find information about all the tools we have been working with and some of our results as webmixes, mind map,...), gallery (where you can find some of the pictures we have found) and our contact information.
Have a look to our wix : Enjoy learning: Music and Art
